I suspect in a pinch you could make a working load from a 308 case with a 303 bullet, though the case would not be totally correct and it might not be spot on accurate with it (do not do this unless absolutely desperate). I used a plumbing tube cutter and a lot of brute force to make mine, each one took me like 10 or 15 min so making it from 06 is not something you want to do thousands of times. You can use a 303 brit bullet (easy to find) and they still make brass for it, or you can cut and form brass from 30-06 (ive done it, its tedious but it works). If its all matched in good condition, it could be worth quite a bit I know the 09s are worth a lot in mint condition because a lot of goobers ruined them to make deer rifles in various horrible ways.Īnyway.
